Golf Course Starter/Marshal

Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize and monitor the flow of players based on the tee sheet.

Ensure golfers start on schedule and in the correct order.

Adjust tee times as needed due to delays, no-shows, or weather conditions.

Verify names, tee times, and number of players in each group.

Provide essential information about the course, rules, and any relevant announcements.

Monitor spacing between groups and maintain proper intervals between tee times.

Record and report tee-off times.

Ensure tee markers, ball washers, and divot mix are stocked and placed correctly.

Patrol the course to ensure playing groups proceed in a timely manner according to their tee times.

Assist in resolving general player inquiries or minor on-course issues.

Assist with directing player groups and maintaining order during tournaments.
