ROLE: Interpretation Support - Cantonese Speakers (Work From Home)

Location: Remoteare to (Malaysia)

Total Salary: RM 4,500 - RM 5,000
Night shift allowance: RM 25 per night *22 working days = RM 550
KPI Allowance: Based on performance
WIFI Allowance: RM 150 per month

Language: Fluent in Cantonese + English

Work hour: Working hours: 9PM to 6 AM / 10 PM to 7 AM (5 days per week - Monday to Friday) Saturday & Sunday Off.
Shifts: Permanent night shift , shift allowances provided
Contract: This is 6 months + 1 year contract role (Renewable)
This is on call live Interpretation role.
Joining Date: Immediate Joiner
Education: High School Graduate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree
Type of role: Interpretation support between doctors and patients based in the US
Experience range: Any experience (we can considerit a mix of fresher’s/experienced translators/CS candidates)

Job Summary
This position provides accurate, real-time Over-the-Phone consecutive interpretation in a first-person style. The interpreter facilitates communication between English speakers and Cantonese speakers across various industries.

Relevant Experience:
Candidate should preferably have experience in at least one of the following fields:
● Interpretation / Translation
● Healthcare industry
● Media / Journalism
● BPO / Contact Center / Customer Service

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
● Provide accurate, meaning-for-meaning consecutive interpretation over the phone.
● Interpret in various sectors including medical, insurance, finance, emergency line, etc.
● Manage tone, pace, and and professionalism during live calls
● Follow all interpreter protocols, company policies, confidentiality rules, and industry ethics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
● Fluency in Cantonese and English (B2+/C1).
● Excellent listening skills and ability to interpret accurately.
● Strong understanding of cultural nuances and linguistic differences.
● Ability to adapt to multiple call types and rapidly changing scenarios.
● Calm, professional demeanor during emotionally intense or emergency calls.
● High accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency in interpretation.
● Ability to work independently and make sound decisions following established protocols.
● Strong commitment to confidentiality and data protection.
