IT Infrastructure & Systems Internship

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Infrastructure Support

Assist in monitoring and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure.

Support configuration and troubleshooting of network devices such as:

- Fortinet FortiGate Firewall

- Aruba Network Switches and Wireless Access Points

- Ruijie Network Switches and Wireless Access Points

Assist in basic VPN connectivity troubleshooting.

Support the IT team in resolving network-related issues.

2. IT Equipment & Office Systems

Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting office IT systems including:

- CCTV surveillance systems

- Door access control systems

- Office printers

- Workstations, laptops, and peripherals

Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT devices.

3. VoIP Communication Systems

Assist in configuring and supporting Yealink IP phones.

Support internal VoIP system setup and user configuration.

Assist in troubleshooting call connectivity issues.

4. Domain & Web Security Support

Assist in managing company domain-related services including:

- Domain registrations

- DNS records

- SSL certificate renewals and installations

Support basic website connectivity troubleshooting.

5. Hardware & Engineering Support

Assist engineering teams in basic electrical wiring and device setup.

Support hardware installation and testing for devices such as:

- Automatic Gate Controller (ACG)

- Smart kiosks

- IoT or embedded hardware devices

Assist in cable management and basic device installation.

6. IT Documentation

Assist in preparing and maintaining IT documentation.

Help create and update network diagrams for company infrastructure.

Document configuration details for network devices such as firewalls, switches, and access points.

Maintain IT asset inventory records.

Assist in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for routine IT tasks.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Students undergoing mandatory internship or industrial training are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Knowledge (Preferred)

Basic understanding of:

Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DHCP, VLAN)

Network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls

CCTV or access control systems

DNS, domain management, and SSL certificates

VoIP or IP telephony systems

Network diagram tools such as Microsoft Visio or draw.io

Basic electrical wiring or hardware installation is an added advantage
