Job Description

Conduct advanced research on atmospheric hazards to support risk assessment models.
Strong in catastrophe risk modeling principles including model setup, calibration, and validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into operational frameworks.
Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Monitor and analyse global atmospheric trends and their implications for the insurance industry.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers within the department.
Strong grasp of regional climate dynamics and the underlying drivers of extreme weather in APAC


The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Research Scientist of Atmospheric Hazard should have:

PHD degree in atmospheric sciences, meteorology, or a related field.
Proven expertise in advanced data analysis and hazard modelling techniques.
Experience in applying research to practical risk management challenges.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively.
Strong collaboration skills to work with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
