Role Overview
The Marketing Manager (Mandarin Speaker) will lead and execute integrated marketing initiatives for BYD and DENZA in Malaysia, combining strategic planning with hands-on execution. This role focuses on driving brand growth, lead generation, and sales conversion across digital and offline channels within the fast-evolving EV and premium automotive landscape, working closely with sales teams and managing external agencies to optimize marketing performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
· Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing strategies aligned with business goals, sales targets, and brand positioning, identify market opportunities through customer insights, EV trends, and competitor analysis, and strengthen brand presence across Malaysia's premium automotive segment
2. Campaign & Performance Management
· Lead end-to-end execution of integrated campaigns including digital, showroom events, roadshows, product launches, and live streaming, monitor and optimize campaign performance (leads, bookings, CPL, CPB, ROI), and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and reporting
3. Digital Marketing & Content
· Oversee digital channels including TikTok, Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO/SEM, and CRM systems, ensure consistent high-quality content across social media, websites, and marketing materials, and leverage data analytics tools to enhance targeting, engagement, and conversion
4. Lead Generation & Conversion
· Improve lead management processes, database quality, and nurturing strategies, work closely with sales teams to enhance lead conversion and customer journey, and drive initiatives that increase showroom traffic and booking rates
5. Stakeholder & Operations Management
· Manage external agencies, vendors, media partners, and production teams, collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and regional teams, and establish and optimize SOPs to improve marketing efficiency and execution
What You'll Need
Must Have:
· Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, or related field
· Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing with proven experience in a managerial or leadership role
· Fluent in English and 中文 (spoken and written)
· Strong experience in integrated marketing, digital campaigns, and performance marketing
· Proven ability to manage marketing budgets, KPIs, and ROI-driven campaigns
· Hands-on experience with lead tracking and customer lifecycle management
· Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills
· Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Good to Have:
· Familiarity with automotive, EV, or retail showroom environment
· Understanding of omnichannel retail strategies (online-to-offline, showroom experience, roadshows)
· Experience in local market activation including mall events, pop-ups, and dealer campaigns
· Strong knowledge of social media trends in Malaysia (TikTok, XiaoHongShu/RED, Instagram, Facebook)
· Ability to localize regional/global campaigns to fit Malaysian consumer behavior
· Familiarity with automotive buyer journey and high-value purchase decision cycles
· Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms
· Understanding of EV market dynamics and sustainability trends
