Material Manager / Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a capable and hands-on Material Manager to lead and oversee warehouse and material operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse control, optimal use of resources, team supervision, and continuous improvement to support overall operational and business objectives.



Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement material management strategies aligned with company goals.

Plan, organize, and control warehouse operations, including inventory, storage, handling, and transportation.

Supervise, guide, and manage warehouse and material-handling staff, including task allocation and performance monitoring.

Identify training needs, recommend programs, and review staff training effectiveness.

Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Coordinate with production, procurement, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

Make operational decisions and resolve issues to maintain smooth workflow.

Report warehouse performance, issues, and improvement plans to management.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

2 - 3 years’ experience in material management, logistics, or supply chain, preferably with supervisory or leadership experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SQL or similar inventory/ERP systems is an advantage.

Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Demonstrates leadership, responsibility, and the ability to manage operations independently.
