MES Application Engineer / CMF Modeler

Job Description
We are seeking a certified and skilled CMF Modeler / MES Application Engineer to join our manufacturing systems division. This position offers the ultimate flexibility of being 100% Fully Work From Home (Remote), allowing you to deliver world-class manufacturing solutions from any location.

In this role, you will take direct ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions, driving shop floor automation, and advancing Industry 4.0 environments.

This is a 1-Year Contract position with strong potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:
MES & Shop Floor Modeling: Design, implement, and maintain MES solutions and process/operations automation using Critical Manufacturing Framework (CMF) remotely.

System Integration: Develop and support interfaces integrating MES with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP ERP) and shop floor automation/IoT platforms.

Virtual Collaboration: Collaborate smoothly in a digital environment with virtual, cross-functional engineering teams (production, quality, process) to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.

Scripts & Analytics: Develop custom scripts, backend services, and interactive dashboards to track manufacturing KPIs, enhance traceability, and enable data-driven decisions.

Testing & Support: Lead user training, IT Acceptance Testing (ITAT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) virtually.

Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing application issues to ensure minimal downtime. Provide 24/7 production support coverage for MES and extended systems.

Requirements & Qualifications
Core Criteria:
Education: Degree/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering field.

Experience: 3 to 8 years of software development or system analysis experience explicitly within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Niche Skill: Must be a Certified CMF Modeler with verified, hands-on experience in CMF shop floor modeling.

Remote Readiness: Strong self-discipline and a reliable home internet setup suitable for virtual collaboration and remote server environments.

Technical Skills:
Strong programming skills in languages such as C# (.NET), Java, or Python.

High proficiency in SQL / Oracle databases, including writing complex stored procedures.

Hands-on experience with Web/Windows applications and API development.

Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), change management, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills & Advantages:
Prior experience with FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and 8D problem-solving methodologies is a strong advantage.

Excellent communication skills to work effectively within global, virtual teams across different time zones.

Monthly Salary: MYR 6,000 – MYR 6,800
