Microbiology Specialist

Job Responsibility:

Act as the approved signatory and Registered Food Analyst, ensuring all ISO17025 technical and quality requirements are implemented and maintained.

Review and sign COA test reports with required opinions and interpretations.

Perform sampling, microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in SAP for product release.

Oversee quality control checks, method development, method validation, and calibration/maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Supervise lab analysts, provide training, schedule laboratory work, and manage lab inventory, supplies, and budget.

Participate in PT programs and lead process improvements, CAPAs, quality objectives, and RCA investigations.

Support GMP, GLP, FSSC22000, and ISO14001 audits

Job Requirements:

Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science/Technology, or a related science field

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance, preferably in an FMCG environment

Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Skilled in method validation and measurement uncertainty (MU) calculations, with understanding of ISO17025 requirements

Registered Food Analyst under the Malaysian Food Analyst Council is an added advantage
