Huraian Kerja / Deskripsi Jawatan

1. DAILY TASK

1. Machine Calibration & Setup: Perform daily verification and setup of orbital welding power sources (e.g., Arc Machines, Swagelok, or Georg Fischer) and manual TIG/GTAW units.

2. Weld Program Selection: Select and adjust programmed weld schedules based on material grade, wall thickness, and outer diameter (OD) of the stainless steel components.

3. Purge Management: Set up and monitor internal gas purging (Argon) to ensure oxygen levels are below acceptable thresholds (typically < 50 ppm) to prevent oxidation (sugar) on the weld bead.

4. Material Preparation: Cut, deburr, and face stainless steel tubing and piping using high-precision orbital saws and facing tools to ensure square edges and gapless fit-up.

5. Daily Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate weld logs, recording coupon test results, heat numbers, and weld ID tags for full traceability.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. High-Purity Fabrication: Execute high-precision orbital welding on stainless steel tubing, piping, and complex spools ranging from 1/4" to 6" OD for semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and ultra-clean gas applications.

2. Hybrid Welding Operations: Perform manual TIG (GTAW) welding for tacking, structural supports, or specialized spool configurations where orbital heads have limited clearance.

3. Coupon Testing: Generate and document mandatory "Daily First" and "Daily Last" weld coupons. Perform visual inspection and internal borescope checks to verify full penetration and bead alignment.

4. System Integrity: Ensure all welded spools meet the strict cleanliness and leak-tightness standards required for High-Purity (HP) process systems.

5. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret Isometrics (ISO), P&IDs, and 3D spool drawings to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions and slope requirements.

6. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding heads, tungsten grinding, and electrode replacement to prevent weld contamination or arc instability.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education: Certificate or Diploma in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related vocational field.

2. Certification: Valid AWS or equivalent welder certification for GTAW (6G position) and specialized training/certification in Orbital Welding.

3. Technical Expertise: * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in stainless steel (304L, 316L, 316L-VIM/VAR) fabrication.

· Profound understanding of autogenous welding (fusion welding without filler wire).

· Expertise in high-purity gas delivery systems and ultra-clean technology (UCT) protocols.

4. Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency with orbital tooling's (closed-head and open-head), oxygen analyzers, and digital borescope inspection tools.

5. Precision: Ability to maintain tight tolerances (typically ±0.5mm) and high aesthetic standards for external weld appearance.

6. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, manual dexterity for handling small components, and the ability to lift to 20kg.
