PLC & Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical control systems and PLC-based automation to ensure continuous, reliable operation of production equipment. This role demands a strong technical foundation, proven problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to maintenance and equipment reliability.



Key Responsibilities:
Independently interpret and analyze electrical schematics, control circuits, and relay logic to support fault diagnosis and system troubleshooting.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to PLC control systems, including Ladder Logic, analog and digital inputs/outputs, and fault diagnostics.

Lead root cause analysis for equipment breakdowns, documenting and communicating resolution processes to relevant teams.

Develop, implement, and refine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategies to enhance equipment uptime and reliability.

Conduct routine maintenance, software updates, program backups, and restorations for Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron PLC platforms.

Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to support system upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and electrical safety regulations.



Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical and PLC maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical systems, control panels, motors, drives, and automation equipment.
