Product Merchandiser

Requirements

. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in merchandising, retail operations, or a related field within the FMCG or snack industry.
. Proven experience in visual merchandising, including store layout planning, product placement, and display creation to maximize sales and brand visibility.
. Strong understanding of inventory management principles, including stock control, demand forecasting, and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations.
. Ability to conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify trends, understand consumer preferences, and inform merchandising strategies.
. Experience in product management, including understanding product lifecycles, new product introductions,and promotional activities.
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams (sales,marketing) and external stakeholders (retail partners).
. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base and internal teams.
. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
. A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating appealing product displays that drive customer engagement and sales.
. Familiarity with the Malaysian retail landscape and consumer behavior within the snack category is highly desirable.
Responsibilities

. Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop and execute product strategies that align with market trends and company objectives.
. Analyze sales data and market research to identify opportunities for product assortment optimization and inventory management.
. Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including sourcing, pricing, and promotional activities.
. Ensure effective visual merchandising standards are maintained across all retail touchpoints to enhance product presentation and drive sales.
. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure product availability and minimize stockouts.
. Conduct regular store visits and competitor analysis to gather insights on product performance, customer feedback, and emerging trends.
. Support the development and implementation of merchandising plans and promotions to achieve sales targets and enhance brand visibility.
. Assist in the negotiation and management of supplier relationships to secure favorable terms and ensure product quality.
