Production Manager - Kapar

Job Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily production activities to ensure smooth operations and regularly update management on production status.
-Manage and optimize machine resources for maximum productivity, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient utilization.
-Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflow policies to improve production speed and efficiency, while maintaining product safety and quality.
-Focus on reducing costs and increasing productivity across all product lines to ensure cost-effective production.
-Ensure adherence to industry-standard health and safety protocols by all production workers.
-Identify and implement improvements to the production process to enhance performance and efficiency.
-Set clear production goals and effectively communicate them to the production team, providing motivation, support, and guidance to achieve these targets.
-Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and practices.
-Monitor staff performance and address any performance gaps through appropriate interventions and support.
-Identify training needs and coordinate necessary training programs.
-Manage production budgets and control costs to optimize efficiency.
-Foster strong collaboration and coordination between various departments, including Project Management, Design & Engineering (D&E), Procurement, and Management.
-Ensure that all production documentation (such as PMR, TRN, material consumption, and defective forms) are properly used and regularly updated.
-Record production outputs, including process and finished goods (FGN), accurately.
-Support the smooth operation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) on the production floor, ensuring it provides valuable data for management decision-making.
-Prepare and submit timely production reports according to the management’s set timeline.
-Perform other tasks as assigned by the management from time to time.

Job Requirements:
-A degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
-Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management practices.
-At least 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the metal industry.
-Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
-Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
-Proven track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
