Project cum Mechatronics Engineer

Job Responsibilities

-Controlling & monitoring pricing and costing

-Administering contractual matters such as variation order, extension of time, loss and expenses, project cost control, etc

-Co-ordination on the design, execution and installation works, testing and commissioning of Mechanical and Electrical Services and associated works as well as other related services.

-Attend client / project meeting & negotiation

- Oversee the financial contract administration throughout the project duration

-Obtain quotations, liaise with various suppliers & sub-cons

-Design, develop, and implement automated systems such as conveyors, sorters, AGVs, and robotic arms.

-Identifying opportunities to improve existing systems and processes through the integration of smart technologies

-Integrate hardware and software systems for autonomous warehouse operations.

-Program and maintain PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other control platforms.

-Develop and test real-time control algorithms for motion control, sorting, and product tracking.

-Perform regular preventive maintenance on automated equipment.

-Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software faults and ensure minimal downtime.

-Analyze warehouse workflows and propose automation solutions to reduce manual handling.

-Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize logistics performance.

-Implement sensor-based monitoring systems for asset tracking, predictive maintenance, and real-time inventory visibility.

-Work with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and integrate automation data with backend systems (ERP, MES).

-Participate in automation project planning, budgeting, installation, and commissioning.

-Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechatronics and logistics automation.



What we're looking for

-Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Civil Engineering/M&E/Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.

-Required skill: AutoCAD drafting skill

-Familiar with project-related items market rate

-Preferably 2-3 years working experience at similar position

-Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink).

-Proficient in designing, implementing and maintaining integrated electromechanical systems.

-Familiarity with warehouse management systems and logistics automation technologies.

-Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

-Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

-Applicants must willing work at Pandamaran, Port Klang

-Candidates with a short notice period or immediate availability are preferred.
