Purchasing Engineer - MNC - Klang - New Setup Factory

Supplier Development & Sourcing

Develop and qualify local Malaysian suppliers (e.g., stamping, die casting, injection molding, surface treatment).

Maintain coordination with existing China-based suppliers.

Build, update, and manage the Approved Vendor List (AVL).

Cost Analysis & Negotiation

Conduct cost breakdown analysis and support cost reduction initiatives.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supplier contracts.

Monitor raw material price trends (e.g., steel, aluminum) to support procurement planning.

Order & Delivery Management

Issue purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery from suppliers.

Coordinate with production and warehouse teams on material planning and requirements.

Manage urgent orders and resolve supply chain issues or delays.

Cross-border Coordination

Liaise with China HQ procurement, engineering, and finance teams.

Communicate and maintain relationships with Malaysian suppliers.

Support import/export logistics and ensure compliance with COO requirements.
