Position as Quantity Surveyor

Monthly Salary

RM2.8K – 3.5K (depends on your experience and knowledge)

Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

At least 2 - 4 years of working experiences as Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin as there are the main languages used in the site.

Possess strong contractual knowledge, positive thinking, negotiable and leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS-related software

Job Responsibility:

Possesses good analytical and sourcing skills

Conducting feasibility studies and estimating material, labor and time costs.

Preparing bills of Quantities (BQ), tender packages and reviewing tender documents.

Drafting and negotiating contract terms with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Managing contractual correspondence, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Managing project budgets, preparing, and validating progress claims.

To obtain quotations and prices from sub-contractors and supplies.

To prepare cost analysis and proposal/alternative design.

Able to meet tight deadline, work under pressure and work independently.

Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with Consultants, Construction Team and Sub-contractors.

To prepare and update Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

To liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and pricing.

To assist in evaluation and comparison of tender submissions.

To prepare progress claims and assist in interim valuations.

To monitor and track variation orders and project changes.

To assist in cost control and budget monitoring.

To support preparation of monthly cost reports and forecasts.
