Senior Finance Executive (GL)

Main Purpose

Responsible for the processing of transactions related to accounting, closing & reporting of financial books.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day accounting duties for the company, primarily focused on the General Ledger function across multiple entities within the group.

Prepare and process journal entries accurately in accordance with double-entry accounting principles and company accounting policies.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, including preparation of Management Accounts, P&L statements, and Balance Sheet schedules.

Handle accruals, prepayments, provisions, and other month-end adjustments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

Prepare intercompany reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and Balance Sheet reconciliations, and follow up on outstanding items or discrepancies.

Maintain proper accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.

Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and finance teams across schools/centres to manage and resolve potential closing risks and accounting issues.

Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain integrity of financial information.

Assist in audit preparation and support external and internal audit requirements, including preparation of schedules and supporting documents.

Respond to enquiries from School Finance teams, internal stakeholders, auditors, and external parties in a timely and professional manner.

Support the GL Supervisor/Lead in ad-hoc finance projects, process improvements, system implementations, and other assigned tasks.
