Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Global Legal Coordination
Monitor, track, and follow up on all legal-related correspondence, notices, contracts, and documentation across PG Group entities globally
Oversee the progress of legal cases, disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters, and liaise with external lawyers, corporate secretaries, and internal teams across multiple countries
Support legal requirements related to global business expansion, including company incorporation, licensing, regulatory registrations, and operational compliance in new markets
Maintain accurate records, legal timelines, and status updates for all legal matters across jurisdictions
Assist in preparing legal summaries, reports, board papers, and management documentation for review by senior management
Global Compliance, AML/CFT & KYC
Oversee customer, vendor, and business partner onboarding processes in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
Conduct and review KYC, AML/CFT screening, sanctions screening, due diligence, and risk assessments for customers, vendors, and strategic partners
Ensure compliance with international AML/CFT regulations, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, sanctions compliance, and related regulatory frameworks
Support ongoing compliance monitoring, internal controls, and documentation to ensure operational compliance across global entities
Assist in compliance audits, regulatory reviews, licensing renewals, and reporting obligations with relevant authorities
Corporate Compliance & Governance
Ensure all onboarding documentation and compliance processes adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal company policies
Support the implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of legal and compliance procedures across the Group
Work closely with management on risk management, policy enhancement, governance matters, and compliance frameworks for international operations
Provide compliance support for new business initiatives, overseas expansion projects, and cross-border transactions
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Compliance, Business, Finance, Corporate Governance, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in legal, compliance, AML/CFT, KYC, or corporate governance roles, preferably with exposure to multinational or regional operations
Strong exposure to global legal compliance, international regulatory requirements, and business expansion support across multiple jurisdictions
Good understanding of legal processes, contracts, litigation management, and corporate governance practices
Solid knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC, sanctions screening, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment processes
Experience in handling regulatory matters, licensing, and compliance documentation for overseas operations is highly preferred
Strong coordination, follow-up, analytical, and documentation skills
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage)
Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally
