Senior Quantity Surveyor for M&E (Mandarin Required)

Requirements

Possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Main Construction projects.

Experience in Mechanical & Electrical works is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Registered with RISM and/or BQSM is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for M/E construction projects.

Handle contracts and variations, including negotiation and compliance.

Perform quantity take-offs and validate material and labor requirements.

Lead the tendering process, including documentation and bid evaluation.

Monitor project risks, propose mitigation measures, and manage cost impact.

Generate financial reports and provide budget forecasts.

Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards at construction sites.

Support dispute resolution and offer contractual advice when needed.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across project phases.

Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to team development.
