Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm in Malaysia.
Possess or pursuing a professional qualification such as CTIM, MIA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
Required skills: Tax Compliance, Tax Planning, Financial Accounting, Corporate Tax, Tax Reporting, Tax Research, Malaysian Tax Law, Taxation, SST
Strong working knowledge of Malaysian tax legislation, including personal and corporate tax, RPGT, SST, and withholding tax.
Familiar with e-Filing, e-CP204, and MyTax portal.
Excellent written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple clients team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review corporate income tax, LLPs, individual tax, and partnership tax returns in compliance with Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) regulations.
Handle tax computations, tax estimates (CP204), and tax submissions via e-Filing and e-Data.
Conduct research and analysis on tax issues, incentives, and updates under the Income Tax Act, Sales & Service Tax (SST), and other relevant legislation.
Advise clients on group tax planning, tax planning opportunities, incentives, withholding tax, and cross-border taxation.
Liaise with LHDN officers, respond to tax audits, investigations, and correspondence.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
Manage client engagements, including timelines, deliverables, and client communications.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Income Tax Act 1967.
Assist with the development of internal tax resources, templates, and training initiatives.
