Standard Parts Buyer

This role is responsible for the procurement of standard components for automation equipment projects.

The position ensures materials are delivered on time, at optimal cost, and meet quality requirements, while also supporting supplier sourcing, cost optimization, and supply risk management.

2.1 Project Procurement Execution
Execute purchase orders based on project BOM and schedule
Align procurement activities with project timelines and milestones
Track order status to ensure timely delivery

2.2 Supplier Management & Sourcing
Maintain and manage relationships with existing suppliers (distributors, agents)
Identify and develop new suppliers and sourcing channels
Evaluate supplier performance in terms of cost, delivery, and service

2.3 Cost Control & Negotiation
Perform RFQ, quotation comparison, and price negotiation
Analyze market pricing and cost structures
Drive cost reduction initiatives (e.g., alternative brands, localization)

2.4 Delivery & Risk Management
Monitor critical material delivery timelines
Identify supply risks and escalate proactively
Expedite urgent or critical materials

2.5 Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering on part selection and alternatives
Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, and Quality teams
Support issue resolution for delivery and quality problems

2.6 Data & Process Management
Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP system
Provide procurement reports (cost, delivery performance, supplier metrics)
Support process improvement and standardization initiatives
