Supervisor - Production (Laser Marking)

Core Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of 32 unit of 5-axis milling machines, ensuring optimal utilization and uptime.

Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of 25 machinists and technicians

Maintain adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols

Collaborate with engineering, planning, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues

Manage workflow, prioritize jobs, and allocate resources effectively

Ensure accurate documentation of production logs, maintenance records, and inspections

Understanding cycle times, tool wear, material behavior, and optimizing setups to meet output targets.



Key Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in precision manufacturing (medical devices preferred).

Familiarity with laser marking equipment and packaging automation.

Computer Literacy: MS Office, laser marking software and production tracking systems.

Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot machine and process issues quickly.

Planning & Scheduling: Efficient shift planning and resource allocation.

Cross-Department Coordination: Work with QC, maintenance, and planning teams.

Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict resolution skills

Clear communication and the ability to coach and develop talent

Performance monitoring, feedback delivery, and productivity reporting

High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance

Skillfully organizing shifts, job assignments, cross-training, and succession planning keeps the department agile and productive.
