About the role

This full-time Tax Associate position at Cheng & Co Taxation SDN BHD' in Batu Pahat District, Johor offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and compliance services, playing a key role in the company's overall financial strategy and success.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and filing accurate tax returns and supporting documentation for individual and corporate clients

Conducting tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings and mitigation strategies

Advising clients on tax planning, compliance, and minimisation opportunities

Collaborating with the finance team to ensure seamless integration of tax-related activities

Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations

Providing high-quality customer service and building strong relationships with clients

What we're looking for

Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional tax qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, or CTIM)

Having experience in a professional services firm or corporate environment will be Added advantage. Freshies are also welcome to apply.

Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients

Proficient in the use of tax software and MS Office suite
