Ticketing Executive (Travel Agency)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ticketing Executive proficient in the Sabre GDS system to handle flight reservations, ticketing, and itinerary management for our travel agency. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in Sabre, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to provide efficient customer service while ensuring accuracy in all ticketing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Flight Reservations & Ticketing:
Process flight bookings, reissues, cancellations, and refunds efficiently using Sabre GDS.

Issue tickets, EMDs, and other related documents in compliance with airline rules and regulations.

Handle complex itineraries, including multi-city, round-the-world, and group bookings.

2. Customer & Travel Agent Support:
Assist travel consultants and clients with fare inquiries, seat assignments, and special requests (meals, baggage, etc.).

Resolve ticketing discrepancies, schedule changes, and airline policy-related issues.

Ensure timely communication with clients regarding flight updates, cancellations, and rebooking options.

3. Fare & Compliance Management:
Stay updated on airline fare rules, promotions, and industry trends.

Ensure compliance with IATA/BSP ticketing standards and company policies.

Process refunds and exchanges in accordance with airline policies.

4. Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of issued tickets, payments, and void transactions.

Generate daily/weekly sales and ticketing reports as required.

Assist in reconciling BSP reports and resolving discrepancies.

Requirements:
Mandatory: Proficiency in Sabre GDS (minimum 1-2 years hands-on experience).

Experience: At least 2 years in airline ticketing or a travel agency (preferred).

Skills:

Strong knowledge of airline fare rules, pricing, and ticketing procedures.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with other GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo) is a plus.

Certification: IATA/UFTAA or similar certification is advantageous.
