Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive Account Executive to join our team at Standard Language Centre. In this role, you will manage full-set accounting, oversee daily financial operations, and lead the preparation for annual financial audits and tax compliance. You will also collaborate with HR on payroll processing and employee claims.
Key Responsibilities
• Full-Set Accounting & Cash Flow: Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
• Financial Audit & Tax Preparation:
o Prepare complete audit schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation ahead of annual financial audits.
o Act as the main liaison officer for external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries to ensure smooth and timely audit completion.
o Assist in managing tax computations, corporate tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Compliance & e-Invoicing: Ensure all financial transactions comply with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory regulations, including LHDN guidelines and e-Invoicing requirements.
• Invoicing & Receivables: Issue customer invoices, track outstanding payments, handle payment collections, and manage vendor disbursements.
• Payroll & Expense Processing: Work closely with HR to verify and process monthly payroll, claims, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB) using company software.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and reports to support executive decision-making.
Requirements
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (ACCA/CIMA partial or full completion is an advantage).
• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in full-set accounting with direct experience preparing for external financial audits.
• Software & Technical Skills:
o Experience with standard accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, UBS, QuickBooks, or similar).
o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
o Familiarity with integrated systems or basic cross-departmental reporting tools.
• Tax & Statutory Knowledge: Sound understanding of local tax regulations, LHDN requirements, and statutory compliance.
• Languages: Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Personal Traits: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to meet strict closing and audit deadlines.
• Mobility: Possess own transport and be willing to travel locally when required (e.g., visiting banks, auditor/tax offices, or working at the branch office.
