Key Responsibilities
1. Financial & Management Reporting
-Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
-Maintain and review the full set of accounts in compliance with Malaysian accounting standards.
-Prepare management reports, schedules, journals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
-Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations to management.
2. Group Consolidation
-Manage group consolidation, including intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.
-Ensure timely and accurate consolidated reporting to management and stakeholders.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
-Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and project needs.
-Oversee payments, fund transfers, and banking transactions in accordance with internal controls.
-Liaise with banks on loan drawdowns, financing documentation, and disbursement follow-ups.
4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
-Coordinate tax computations, estimates, revisions, and submissions with tax agents.
-Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and compliance with Malaysian tax and regulatory requirements.
-Monitor compliance deadlines to avoid penalties and non-compliance issues.
5. Audit Coordination
-Act as the main liaison for external and internal auditors.
-Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
-Support smooth completion of statutory and group audits.
6. Process & System Improvement
-Review and enhance accounting processes, controls, and reporting workflows.
-Support system improvements and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy (e.g. ERP / SAP environment where applicable).
7. Team Supervision
-Supervise, guide, and review work performed by junior accounting staff.
-Ensure accounting tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies.
-Foster a disciplined, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
8. Operational & Ad-Hoc Support
-Support the Accounts Senior Manager / Management in daily operational matters.
-Handle ad-hoc accounting assignments as required in a dynamic property development environment.
Requirements
-Degree in Accounting / Finance / ACCA or other recognized professional qualification.
-Minimum 5–8 years of relevant working experience; property development industry experience is highly preferred.
-Strong hands-on experience in full set of accounts, statutory reporting, audit, and tax.
-Solid knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local statutory requirements.
-Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
-Detail-oriented, structured, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Able to manage tight timelines during peak periods (audit, closing, budgeting).
