Job Accountabilities
Carry out data processing using accounting systems
Oversee management of purchase ledger and nominal ledgers
Carry out regular reconciliation of all control accounts and balance sheet accounts
Prepare and process monthly journals for prepayment/ accruals/depreciation and other monthly adjustments
Prepare VAT returns in advance of deadline for review and sign off
Complete monthly/quarterly reporting pack required by the Group
Monitor, evaluate and review accounting systems and suggest improvement or alternative accounting systems where applicable
Implement appropriate accounting systems and advise on improvement where needed
Meeting deadlines and dates set
Assist with the preparation of end of year accounts file and audit schedules
Draft statutory accounts for local audit and filing
Prepare tax pack as required for tax advisors for tax compliance
Any other ad hoc or additional routine tasks required by the company
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role
Finance/Accounting University degree +
Accounting certificate preferable
Good working knowledge of management accounts / bookkeeping software
Computer literate when using Microsoft Excel and Word
This person must possess strong organizational and good communication skills (written and verbal) in fluent English
Attention to detail and accuracy in their work.
The ability to use their own initiative and work proactively (come with a solution)
The ability to execute action plan independently.
Have good time management and being able to meet required timeline
