Additional Mathematics Educator Secondary

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Mathematics and/or Additional Mathematics at the secondary school level.
Proficiency in Mathematics Education, Classroom Management, and Secondary School Teaching.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to effectively explain complex mathematical concepts to students.
Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Experience in assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to improve performance.
Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging Additional Mathematics lessons to secondary school students, aligning with the IGCSE syllabus and the national curriculum and fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in Additional Mathematics.
Assess student learning through various methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and assignments, providing timely and constructive feedback to promote academic growth in Additional Mathematics.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, providing individualized support and enrichment activities to ensure all students achieve their full potential in Additional Mathematics.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources for Additional Mathematics, sharing best practices and contributing to curriculum development.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student performance and address any concerns related to Additional Mathematics.
Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education and enhance teaching skills, including attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions focused on Additional Mathematics.
