Requirements

Qualifications

Certificate in Security Management or Ex- Security Forces personnel or Secondary Education.


Experience

Minimum of 2 years as a Senior or team leader position held
Able to perform shift works
Responsibilities

Job Summary: To ensure that all associates are fully and clearly aware of their job expectations and key responsibilities, allowing associates to function effectively within the organisation by giving clarity to individual role.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Direct hands-on support/assistance to front line officers, paying attention to peak periods, etc.
Immediate response to security and safety occurrences (e.g. incidents and accidents.)
Maintain observations on individual performance and offer guidance and assistance as and when necessary.
Relieve post duties according to operational demands.
Established policy and procedures, codes of conduct, guidelines, etc.
Familiarise oneself with all relevant manuals.
Ensure that all security officers comply strictly and consistently with all established policy and procedure.
Drive, maintain and enhance associates performance to the standards prescribed by the Loss Prevention Manager.
Strictly monitor, maintain and enhance officer’s performance standards (operational and behavioural.)
Conduct daily pre-shift inspection of uniforms and appointments, maintaining established standards.
Meticulous and frequent attention to individual officer’s performance.
Counsel and discipline officers as necessary using corrective and constructive methods.
Report all significant and continued performance shortfalls and significant performance achievements to the Loss Prevention Manager.
Security assessment
Monitor the hotel environment throughout the shift and identify and security and/or safety risks that become apparent. Reports all risks to the Loss Prevention Manager.
