Key Responsibilities
Lead and ensure full compliance with environmental regulations related to air emissions, water discharge, and scheduled waste management
Oversee environmental permits, licenses, and ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory reports to regulatory authorities
Drive risk management initiatives, including reviewing and approving Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and incident investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Lead Industrial Hygiene (IH) programs, including strategy, monitoring plans, and control measures for employee exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards
Oversee end-to-end waste management systems, including scheduled and non-scheduled waste, recycling programs, and pollution control measures in compliance with regulatory requirements
Plan, lead, and review EHS audits, inspections, and site assessments, ensuring closure of findings and continuous compliance improvement
Drive and maintain Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 standards
Develop and implement EHS training strategies and awareness programs, fostering a strong safety and environmental culture across the organization
Act as the key liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and external stakeholders, representing the organization during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Provide strategic advisory to management on environmental impact, regulatory risks, and sustainability considerations for new and existing operations
Lead and drive sustainability and ESG initiatives, including waste minimization, emission reduction, and resource efficiency programs
Ensure competency and compliance in Competent Person roles for:
Scheduled Waste Management
Water / Effluent Treatment Systems
Requirements
Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related field
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in EHS / Environmental management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of local environmental regulations, DOE requirements, and compliance standards
Proven experience in leading audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting
Hands-on experience in ISO 14001 / EMS implementation and management
Certified Competent Person (e.g., CePSWaM) is highly preferred
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
