Civil Structural Engineer

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in consultancy and/or property development.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and/or with Practicing Certificate is highly preferred.

Overseas project experience (e.g. UK, Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong) is a distinct advantage.

Strong understanding of construction methods, value engineering, and practical design solutions.

Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of cost estimation is a plus.

Familiar with local authority submission processes and building code requirements.

A proactive, mature, and independent team player with strong communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all civil & structural engineering components of the projects from conceptualization to completion.

Collaborate closely with in-house architects, M&E engineers, and other team members to achieve high-efficiency, high-quality building designs.

Review and challenge consultants’ design submissions, proposing alternative solutions to enhance constructability, cost-efficiency, and usable space.

Optimize structural design to improve space planning and overall development value.

Explore, develop, and recommend innovative construction methods and materials that align with the company’s design vision.

Ensure all designs comply with authority requirements, building codes, and internal technical standards.

Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.

Participate in design reviews for both local and overseas projects.

Document technical improvements, design changes, and cost-saving initiatives through clear and timely reporting.

Support cross-disciplinary design efforts and contribute technical insight at all stages of development.

Undertake ad-hoc assignments or responsibilities delegated by the Management.
