Database Administrator

What You’ll Do

Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases.

Set up and manage database clustering to improve availability and performance.

Write and optimize SQL scripts to support various business needs.

Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and tune systems for better efficiency.

Handle database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

Work closely with developers and other teams to solve database-related problems.

Maintain database security and user access controls.

Use scripting tools like Python and YAML to automate tasks (preferred).

Support projects related to banking or payment systems (a bonus if you have experience here).

What We’re Looking For

Solid experience with PostgreSQL.

Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Good problem-solving skills, especially around database performance.

Strong SQL scripting skills.

Experience setting up database clustering.

Familiarity with EnterpriseDB (EDB) is a plus.

Basic knowledge of Python and YAML scripting is a plus.

Experience in banking or payment industries is a plus.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field.

Relevant database certifications are a bonus.

Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
