Engineer (Mechanical)

Requirements

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation and problem-solving in automation systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, specifically in automation design. Knowledge or experience in laser applications is a strong plus.

You will be responsible for developing mechanical solutions for automated equipment, supporting prototype builds, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving projects from concept through to production.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically for automation systems
Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor)
Understanding of mechanical components, actuators, sensors, and motion systems
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience with laser-based applications or systems is a plus


Nice to Have:

Knowledge of safety standards related to automated systems
Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automation equipment
Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
Perform tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and design reviews to ensure robust solutions
Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate systems seamlessly
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting
Generate and maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revision controls
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design and manufacturing
