External Audit Senior

About the role

Key responsibilities

1.      Plan, supervise and manage external audit engagements in accordance with Malaysian Auditing Standards and relevant regulatory frameworks

2.      Lead and manage audit teams, including junior auditors and assistants, providing guidance, coaching and quality assurance

3.      Manage client relationships effectively, serving as a key point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction throughout audit engagements

4.      Perform quality reviews of audit work completed by junior team members to ensure compliance with firm standards

5.      Stay current with changes in auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements and ISO maintenance


What we're looking for
Professional accounting qualification such as CA (Chartered Accountant Malaysia), ACCA or equivalent accounting recognised qualification

1.      Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in external audit or extensively in the audit department.

2.      Proven experience in planning and executing audit engagements across varied industries and business sectors

3.      Strong time management and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple engagements simultaneously

4.      Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and professional judgment

5.      Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin/Cantonese.
