Key Responsibilities
Manage full sets of accounts for the holding company and subsidiaries, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
Oversee intercompany transactions and billings, ensuring accuracy, timely reconciliation, and proper elimination for group reporting.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections at both entity and group levels.
Ensure compliance with MFRS, accounting standards, internal policies, and statutory requirements.
Handle taxation matters, including corporate tax, SST (where applicable), and submissions to LHDN.
Coordinate with the company secretary on statutory filings, resolutions, and corporate governance matters for all group entities.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and external consultants for audits, tax reviews, and financing matters.
Lead year-end closing, audit preparation, and consolidation of group accounts.
Monitor intercompany balances, trade receivables, payables, and cash positions to ensure healthy group cash flow.
Implement, review, and enhance internal controls, SOPs, and financial processes across the group.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Accounts Executives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a group, holding company, or multi-entity environment.
Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, consolidation, and group reporting.
Solid knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage external stakeholders.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA is an added advantage).
