Front Manager (Japanese Restaurant)

Key Responsibilities
-Ensure guests receive outstanding service aligned with Japanese hospitality standards.
-Greet and interact with customers professionally, handling inquiries and complaints promptly.
-Monitor dining areas to ensure comfort, cleanliness, and proper table turnover.
-Supervise daily front-of-house operations, including reservations, seating arrangements, and staff assignments.
-Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient service flow.
-Oversee cash handling, billing accuracy, and POS operations.
-Lead, motivate, and train service staff (waiters, hosts, cashiers) to maintain consistent service quality.
-Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
-Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching as needed.
-Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food handling standards.
-Maintain the restaurant’s image and atmosphere, including décor and cleanliness.
-Implement and enforce company SOPs and service standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and assist with budgeting and cost control.
-Manage reservations, event bookings, and VIP guest arrangements.
-Assist in marketing and promotional activities to boost customer engagement and sales.

Requirements
-Minimum 3 years of experience in a Supervisory role or higher, preferably in a Japanese or fine-dining restaurant.
-Good communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. Proficiency in Japanese be an added advantage. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
-Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Japanese dining culture and service etiquette is an advantage.
-Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
