Role Summary
The Inspector of Works (IOW) is responsible for on-site supervision, coordination, and quality control of assigned discipline works on data centre projects. The role ensures construction activities are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, client standards, and statutory requirements, supporting successful Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and project handover.
The IOW will work closely with the Resident Engineer (RE), consultants, contractors, and multi-discipline teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise assigned site works and monitor daily progress
Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to resolve site and interface issues
Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions
Manage RFIs, NCRs, and punch lists
Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship
Support Testing & Commissioning (T&C), inspections, and handover documentation
Discipline-Specific Scope (Summary)
Mechanical: HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH, piping, pumps, ducting
Electrical: HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transformers, busducts, cabling
Controls: BMS, EPMS, PLCs, sensors, automation and system integration
Network / IT / Security: Structured cabling, fibre, racks, CCTV, access control
Architectural: Finishes, raised floors, fire-rated walls, S&C interfaces
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in relevant discipline.
Possessed IOW certificate (MUST have for Diploma holder)
Minimum 5 years site-based experience, preferably in data centres or mission-critical projects
Experience in EPCM / PMC or fast-track projects is an advantage
Strong coordination, communication, and site supervision skills
