Internship Social Media & Marketing

Job Description
We are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media & Marketing Intern to support our company’s branding, marketing, and client engagement efforts.

As an event management company, we want to strengthen our company branding, personal branding, online presence, and client relationships. This role will involve social media content creation, marketing campaign support, client relationship marketing, brand visibility initiatives, and creative promotional activities.

The intern will work closely with the team to create content, plan marketing ideas, support campaigns, and assist in marketing efforts that help keep the company visible, memorable, and connected with clients.

Key responsibilities:
Social Media & Content Creation
Assist in planning and creating content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
Create captions, simple graphics, reels, short videos, and event highlight content
Capture behind-the-scenes content during event preparation, setup, and event day
Assist in creating content for company branding, including event showcases, client stories, festive decorations, workshops, performances, and completed projects
Support personal branding content for the founder or management team, such as event experiences, leadership stories, business insights, and industry-related sharing
Research social media trends, content ideas, hashtags, and competitor activities
Help manage the content calendar and posting schedule
Marketing & Brand Promotion
Assist in brainstorming and executing marketing campaigns to promote the company’s services and brand
Support festive or seasonal marketing ideas, such as Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas, Mid-Autumn, Merdeka, and year-end campaigns
Assist in planning client appreciation activities, such as sending gifts, greeting cards, festive hampers, or small branded items to clients
Help coordinate promotional gifts or brand reminders for past, existing, and potential clients
Support the preparation of marketing materials such as company profiles, service decks, event portfolios, brochures, flyers, and presentation slides
Assist in updating and organizing photos, videos, testimonials, event write-ups, and past project references for marketing use
Help create simple campaign ideas to remind clients of the company’s services and encourage repeat enquiries
Assist in preparing proposal visuals, mood boards, and simple marketing concepts when needed
Client Engagement & Relationship Marketing
Support follow-up marketing efforts with past clients, corporate clients, and potential leads
Assist in preparing client greeting messages for festive seasons, birthdays, company milestones, or special occasions
Help maintain a simple client database for marketing communication and future follow-ups
Assist in identifying opportunities to reconnect with previous clients through email, WhatsApp, social media, or gifting initiatives
Support simple email marketing or WhatsApp broadcast content based on company direction
Assist in collecting feedback, testimonials, and event photos from clients for future marketing use
Market Research & Marketing Support
Research potential clients, brands, malls, corporate companies, event trends, and industry opportunities
Assist in studying competitors’ marketing activities and social media content
Help look for collaboration opportunities with vendors, performers, venues, influencers, or strategic partners
Support the team in developing new marketing ideas that can increase company visibility and enquiries
Assist with marketing preparation before, during, and after events
Job Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, Media, Public Relations, Business, Event Management, Graphic Design, or related fields
Passionate about social media, marketing, branding, content creation, and events
Interested in both company branding and personal branding
Basic understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts
Able to assist with content planning, caption writing, simple graphic design, short-form video content, and campaign ideas
Basic knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite, or similar tools
Comfortable using or willing to learn AI tools to support content creation, marketing ideas, copywriting, research, and productivity
Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, CapCut AI, Meta AI, Gemini, Notion AI, Holo / tryholo.ai, or other social media and marketing AI tools will be an added advantage
Able to use AI responsibly for idea generation, caption drafting, content improvement, trend research, and marketing campaign support
Able to write simple and engaging captions in English
Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia writing skills are an added advantage
Creative, proactive, responsible, and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Willing to assist on-site during events when required
Good communication, organization, and follow-up skills
