Key Responsibilities:
Legal Support
Drafting, reviewing and proofreading a wide range of commercial agreements, including but not limited to supplier agreements, service contracts, collaboration agreements, licensing documents, non-disclosure agreements etc
Maintaining proper filing and records of all contracts, corporate documents and compliance files including but not limited to board and shareholders’ resolutions, company secretarial documents and statutory records
Monitoring and tracking key contract dates such as renewals, expirations and terminations to ensure timely follow-up
Liaising with the company secretary to review and verify resolutions, filings and other corporate governance documentation
Providing legal support to other departments such as finance, human resources and operations on legal matters as and when required
Assisting in maintaining and updating internal templates, policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current laws and company practices
Assisting in compliance-related matters including those involving data protection, anti-money laundering and other relevant company policies or legal requirements, as and when needed
Administrative & Executive Support
Managing schedules, appointments and meeting arrangements for senior management team
Preparing and organizing materials for meetings, presentations and reports
Liaising with internal and external parties to coordinate meetings and follow-ups
Handling correspondence and confidential information in a professional manner
Assisting in the preparation and coordination of business activities, events and management initiatives
Carrying out any other tasks or instructions assigned by the senior management team to support day-to-day operations and company objectives
Qualifications:
Possess a Degree in Law with at least two (2) years of experience in legal practice and/or in-house counsel roles, preferably gained in reputable companies or law firms
Good understanding of contract management, corporate governance, corporate secretarial procedures and relevant Malaysian laws and regulations
Strong drafting, analytical and organizational skills
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of management and external parties
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese
