What you'll be doing
Prepare, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including FIDIC contracts, subcontracts, and procurement agreements.
Provide legal advice and guidance on contractual rights, obligations, and risk assessments related to construction projects.
Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
Ensure compliance with construction laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
Handle contract disputes, claims, and arbitration in accordance with FIDIC and other governing laws.
Assist in litigation matters and coordinate with external legal counsel when required.
Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with construction and project execution.
Conduct due diligence on contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Monitor and stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting the construction industry.
Ensure adherence to corporate governance and statutory compliance requirements.
Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement teams, and senior management to provide legal insights and support.
Liaise with government authorities, clients, and subcontractors to resolve legal issues and facilitate project execution.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of legal experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
Experience with FIDIC contracts is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of construction law, contract administration, and dispute management.
Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skill.
