Maintenance Assistant

Requirements

Experience: Min 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform tasks that require physical strength.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify issues and address them promptly and effectively.
Safety Conscious: Understanding and adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
Communication: Basic communication skills to interact with staff and report issues or needs effectively.
Certifications (optional): Relevant certifications in plumbing, electrical work, or building maintenance will be an added advantage.
Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Candidates must possess at least SPM
Responsibilities

Building Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and general maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
Repairs: Carry out repairs for plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues, including fixing leaks, broken fixtures, and malfunctioning equipment.
Cleaning & Sanitation: Ensure cleanliness and safety of school premises by maintaining floors, windows, doors, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair various school equipment and machinery such as HVAC systems, lighting, and electrical systems.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and building regulations.
Emergency Support: Respond to emergency maintenance issues (e.g., power outages, water leaks) promptly and efficiently.
Inventory Management: Keep track of tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that inventory levels are adequate and reorder when necessary.
