Maintenance Assistant Manager / Manager

1. Maintenance Operations – Layer, Feedmill & Egghouse

Assist in overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance for:

Layer farms: poultry houses, cages, feeding systems, drinking lines, ventilation systems, manure belts, lighting, and controllers.

Feedmill: grinders, mixers, conveyors, elevators, silos, pelletizers (if any), motors, and control panels.

Egghouse: egg conveyors, graders, washers, packers, cold rooms, and material handling equipment.

Ensure minimal downtime and fast response to breakdowns across all operational areas.

2. Preventive Maintenance & Scheduling

Support preparation and implementation of preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all ILF equipment.

Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to avoid disruption to egg production, feed processing, and egg grading.

Monitor PM compliance and follow up on overdue or incomplete tasks.

3. Utilities & Infrastructure Management

Assist in maintaining farm utilities including electrical systems, generators, water supply, pumps, compressors, and drainage systems.

Ensure standby generators and critical systems are always operational to prevent production losses.

4. Team Supervision & Coordination

Supervise maintenance supervisors, technicians, and workers assigned to Layer, Feedmill, and Egghouse.

Coordinate cross-site manpower deployment during major breakdowns or peak maintenance periods.

Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to maintenance staff.

5. Safety, Biosecurity & Food Safety Compliance

Ensure maintenance work complies with:

Biosecurity requirements at Layer farms

Food safety and hygiene standards at Egghouse

Machinery and workplace safety regulations at Feedmill

Enforce PPE usage, permit-to-work systems, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and safe maintenance practices.

6. Vendor, Contractor & Project Support

Assist in coordinating external vendors and contractors for equipment servicing, calibration, and project works.

Supervise contractor activities to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with ILF safety and biosecurity rules.

Support farm expansion, upgrading, and equipment installation projects.

7. Spare Parts, Inventory & Cost Control

Assist in managing spare parts inventory critical to Layer, Feedmill, and Egghouse operations.

Support cost control by minimizing emergency repairs and optimizing maintenance resources.

Prepare purchase requisitions and follow up on critical spare parts availability.

8. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare and review maintenance reports, breakdown analysis, and corrective action plans.

Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and SOPs for audits and management review.

Support internal and external audits related to maintenance, safety, and food safety.

9. Continuous Improvement

Analyze recurring breakdowns and propose engineering or process improvements.

Support implementation of reliability improvement initiatives across ILF operations.
