Maintenance Assistant

Requirements

Possess a Diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management).
Demonstrate basic repair skills and a foundational understanding of maintenance principles.
Exhibit strong attention to detail in identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
Proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia is mandatory, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance procedures and technologies.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
Capable of troubleshooting basic equipment malfunctions and performing minor repairs.
Familiarity with facility maintenance practices and procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, including troubleshooting malfunctions and performing preventive maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in the coordination of external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and maintenance equipment.
Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan.
Support facility maintenance by performing tasks such as landscaping, snow removal, and waste disposal.
