Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unexpected downtime and extend asset lifecycles.
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and supervise maintenance staff; assign daily workloads, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Budgeting & Procurement: Develop and manage the department budget, forecast expenses, and control inventory for spare parts and tools.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) to maintain a safe work environment.
Vendor Management: Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs, ensuring work quality and negotiating contracts.
Data & Reporting: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like production uptime and maintenance costs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or relevant vocational certifications.
Experience: Typically 3 to 7 years of mechanical or technical experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; proficiency in CMMS software.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, exceptional leadership, and strong written and verbal communication. Strong command of spoken and written Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia is required to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
