Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:
1. Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on factory machines, equipment, and utilities.
2. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and support smooth production operations.
3. Perform routine inspections on machinery to ensure proper functioning, safety, and reliability.
4. Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new machines or equipment.
5. Assist in maintaining maintenance records, checklists, logs, and service reports.
6. Collaborate with Production, QC, Warehouse, and other departments to address equipment-related issues promptly.
7. Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are properly used, maintained, and stored.
8. Follow maintenance SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures at all times.
9. Support spare parts handling including checking stock, requesting replacements, and maintaining proper storage.
10. Work with external contractors or suppliers during servicing, repair work, or parts replacement.
11. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
12. Assist in facility maintenance such as building, lighting, air compressors, utilities, HVAC, and general infrastructure.
13. Comply with statutory inspection requirements (e.g., DOSH-related equipment) and support documentation activities.


Education & Experience:
1. Certificate, Diploma, or Vocational Training in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
2. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in machine or equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatic/hydraulic components, and troubleshooting techniques.
4. Ability to read simple technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
5. Hands on skills with tools, repair equipment, and measurement instruments.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
8. Willing to work on shifts or respond to urgent repairs when needed.
