Position: Full-Time
Location: Malaysian-German Society (MGS), Penang – On-site
Start Date: 1 November 2026
Reports To: MGS President / Board of Management
About the Role
MGS is looking for a motivated young talent to join our team in a newly reorganised role covering administration, marketing, events and German Language Courses (GLC).
This is a varied position in an international non-profit cultural organisation, with opportunities to work with board members, teachers, vendors, corporate partners and members. Training and mentoring will be provided, with opportunities for career progression into management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support administration, AGM and Board matters
- Liaise with relevant authorities on administrative matters
- Assist with premises and maintenance
- Manage social media, website, e-newsletter and advertising
- Coordinate GLC student enquiries, records, registration, timetables and teachers
- Support teacher-related administrative matters
- Assist with MGS events, including vendors, sponsors, logistics and on-site operations
- Monitor course and membership fees and price adjustments
- Provide general support to ensure smooth MGS operations
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Malaysian citizen or valid Malaysian work permit
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, WhatsApp and common digital tools
- AI experience is an advantage
- Willingness to stay reasonably reachable and respond to messages outside core working hours when needed.
