MINING SITE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced *Mining Site Development Manager* to lead and oversee mining site development projects from planning through execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site development activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, coordinating with contractors, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, manage, and supervise mining site development activities.
* Oversee earthworks, infrastructure development, road construction, and site preparation.
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
* Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental, and mining regulations.
* Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Identify and manage project risks and implement corrective actions.
* Conduct site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
* Prepare project reports and provide updates to senior management.
* Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and operational teams.
* Work closely with the geology, mining, and processing departments to support operational goals.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
* Minimum *2–5 years* of experience in mining operations or mining site development.
* Experience managing mining development projects, including infrastructure and earthworks.
* Strong knowledge of open-pit mining, mine planning, and site development.
* Familiarity with mining safety and environmental regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
* Ability to work in remote mining locations.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Preferred Experience

* Experience in metal mining (iron ore, gold, copper, etc.) or quarry operations.
* Experience working with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
* Knowledge of mine planning software is an advantage.
