PE Manager (Process Engineering, Plastic industry)

Lead and manage process engineering activities to support new product introduction (NPI), mass production, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Evaluate new product processes and support prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up to ensure process readiness and stability.

Develop, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes for key and strategic projects.

Lead improvement initiatives for major projects and customer complaints, including evaluation and validation of processes, equipment, and jigs & fixtures, as well as providing technical guidance and training.

Drive yield improvement and NG rate reduction through root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.

Prepare, review, and approve process documentation including Process Flowcharts, SOPs, POPs, and related standards.

Support process costing and provide technical input for new project quotations and feasibility assessments.

Manage, coach, and develop the Process Engineering team; oversee departmental KPIs, performance targets, and talent development.

Establish, maintain, and continuously improve departmental processes, systems, and annual work plans.

Liaise with China HQ and cross-functional teams to ensure process alignment, smooth technology transfer, and best-practice implementation.

Support internal, customer, and ISO audits and ensure compliance with quality and process requirements.


Professional Skills & Requirements:

Diploma and above in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

At least 10 years of work experience and more than 5 years of engineering team management experience in similar capacity.

Hands-on experience with common manufacturing processes in the precision manufacturing industry (such as ultrasonic welding, laser engraving, hot melting, pad printing, packaging, etc.), and the ability to provide guidance on complex process issues.

Strong knowledge of process documentation including SOPs, POPs, Process Flowcharts, and process routing.

Experience in jig and fixture design and validation; proficient in UG CAD office software or equivalent design software.
