Production Assistant (Operator) - Manual Soldering

Job Responsibilities
1. Assist SMT Technicians and production team in daily SMT operations.

2. Perform manual soldering of electronic components and PCB boards.

3. Carry out soldering touch-up, component replacement and minor rework when required.

4. Inspect solder joints and identify common defects such as insufficient solder, solder bridges and misaligned components.

5. Prepare PCB boards, components, tools and materials before production.

6. Assist with component loading, unloading and material handling.

7. Maintain proper handling of PCB assemblies and electronic components according to ESD requirements.

8. Perform basic cleaning of PCB boards, workstations, tools and equipment.

9. Follow work instructions, quality standards and safety procedures.

10. Report production or quality issues to the Technician or Supervisor.

11. Perform other production-related duties assigned by the Supervisor.



Job Requirements
1. Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.

2. Must have practical experience and skills in manual soldering.

3. Able to use soldering iron and basic soldering tools safely.

4. Knowledge of soldering touch-up, component replacement or PCB rework is an advantage.

5. Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB assemblies is preferred.

6. Good eyesight, steady hands and attention to detail.

7. Able to work independently and as part of a team.

8. Willing to work overtime when required.

9. Fresh candidates with relevant soldering training may also be considered.

10. Candidates who are available to start immediately will be given preference.



Preferred Skills
1. Previous working experience in an SMT, PCBA or electronics manufacturing environment.

2. Familiar with ESD control and basic quality inspection.

3. Knowledge of through-hole and SMD component soldering.

4. Experience using a hot air rework station is an added advantage.
