Position Summary:
The Production Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely flow of materials, parts, and components to meet production schedules. This role plays a key part in preventing production delays by coordinating with internal teams to resolve material shortages, expedite deliveries, and maintain continuous production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor production schedules and ensure materials are available to meet plan requirements.
Track and follow up on material shortages and discrepancies on the production floor.
Liaise with Warehouse (Kitting) and the Master Planner to expedite material and component deliveries.
Review and analyse the MRP report to ensure all required materials, components, and resources are available for timely and efficient production readiness.
Escalate supply constraints and potential bottlenecks to relevant stakeholders.
Adjust priorities to meet production deadlines and urgent order requirements.
Maintain accurate records of material movement and expediting activities.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production flow, materials management, and efficiency.

Internal: Production Supervisors, Planning Team, Warehouse (Kitting)
2. Decision-Making Scope:
Re-prioritize and coordinate material deliveries to align with changing production needs.
Recommend corrective actions to address supply issues and avoid delays.
Influence short-term scheduling adjustments through effective coordination and communication.
3. Goal Alignment:
Ensure all required materials and components are delivered on time to support uninterrupted production and meet customer delivery commitments.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Production Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in production coordination, material control, or supply chain management.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of production scheduling and manufacturing processes.
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Self-motivated, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Fluent in English and Malay (written and spoken).
