Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage automated secondary analysis pipelines for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data;

2. Implement and support custom analytical pipelines to facilitate vaccine research using whole genome sequencing technologies;

3. Contribute to the development of algorithms for analysing large-scale, multi-platform datasets related to viral vaccine programmes;

4. Develop, maintain, and optimize internal genomic and experimental databases;

5. Support and perform data collection, data management, and bioinformatics application development, as well as other related tasks as assigned; and

6. Undertake ad hoc and other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Malaysian citizens;

2. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or any related field and recognized by the Malaysian government from a local or foreign higher education institution or a qualification recognized as equivalent;

3. Preferably with a minimum one (1) year of working experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry;

4. Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills;

5. Ability to work independently in a structured and regulated environment; and

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
